SteamJet Space at the 39th Annual Small Satellite Conference

SteamJet Space at the 39th Annual Small Satellite Conference

We’re excited to announce that SteamJet Space Systems will be participating in the 39th Annual Small Satellite Conference, taking place August 11–13, 2025, at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Our CEO, Marco Pavan, will be speaking on the topic:

“Extended Testing of a Steam-Powered Propulsion System for Rapid-Orbit Corrections: A Viable Alternative to Chemical Propulsion.”

The presentation will explore the propulsion system selected for a critical orbit correction maneuver aboard K-RadCube, a CubeSat developed by NaraSpace as part of NASA’s Artemis II program. SteamJet’s water-based thruster will execute a 12-hour continuous burn to raise the satellite’s perigee from re-entry altitude — a performance milestone that brings green propulsion into the realm of missions traditionally reserved for chemical systems.

Join us as we share insights from this mission-critical application and explore how water-based thrusters can offer efficient, safe, and cost-effective maneuvering for small satellites — especially in responsive and agile mission scenarios.

We look forward to connecting with fellow innovators, researchers, and mission planners shaping the future of smallsat propulsion.
